Your RFP Forums: Now Open For Business
Written by S. Beaumont and filed under RFP Site News
We’re proud to announce an exciting new addition to the Raleigh Free Press - the RFP Forums. As a freshly launched forum there isn’t a whole lot to see right now, but I hope that our readers will embrace it as a place to discuss the city and to converse with fellow city-of-oakers.
The idea for the forums came about for a few reasons. One, while commenting on posts is a good way to interact with other readers, there are certainly numerous other uncovered stories about Raleigh every week that people want to talk about. Secondly, while there are several other forums out there that talk about Raleigh, I could never find any that were independent, locally operated, and had a real community feel. Most were large scale boards with only a small section dedicated to Raleigh, or others just weren’t very user-friendly or actively updated. I hope that our attempt addresses a few of these issues and that it becomes the new destination for conversations about Raleigh. The forums also have a community calendar built in - something that several readers have indicated they’d like to use.
We’ll be ironing out the kinks for the next few days, so as always I hope you’ll let us know what you think and what needs to be added, changed, or moved to help improve the overall experience. Also, I hope that you’ll help to spread the word about the new forums and help the conversations continue to grow.
