Free Wine Tastings at Amra’s

Beginning tomorrow, Amra’s (map) will be hosting a series of free wine tastings on Tuesday nights. The full schedule is below.
- February 5 - Winemaker from Puerto Viejo Wines

If you’ve never been to Amra’s, I’d recommend giving it a shot. As a cigar and jazz club, it has a really nice feel to it and can be a nice alternative to the traditional pub. My only complaint is that it can be a little too noisy when trying to catch up with friends.

Local Businesses Wanted:
Sounds really nice, but I just can’t handle a cigar place. Anyone know a Jazz/wine place like this that isn’t smoky? I’ll try that if there is one…
I’d have to agree with Raleighrob. I felt like I smelled like smoke for the next week after going to that place.
When the weather is nice, they open up the large front glass doors facing Glenwood. This definitely helps the circulation.
I can’t wait till Raleigh and/or NC bans smoking indoors. I don’t mind smokers. I used to be one but its so much nicer now to be able to hang out in a bar in CA, NY, and London and not coming smelling horrible with burnt eyes.
